Therapists
Martha K. Brown, ACSW, LCSW
Martha received her Master of Social Work degree from Indiana
University School of Social Work. She has additional training in
Gestalt therapy and over twenty years experience in providing counseling
in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her expertise is in
working with adolescents and family issues. In addition she has
extensive experience in counseling adults dealing with depression,
marital issues and incest, and family of origin issues.
Leslie Jacobs, MSW, LCSW
Leslie received her Master of Social Work degree from Indiana
University and has worked in social services in Fayette County since
1986. She started crisis intervention and prevention programs in
the area of sexual assault and abuse. She has provided clinical
therapy to children, adolescents, and adults as well as serving as an
educational specialist to special needs populations. Leslie has
additional training in marital therapy, specialized child and adolescent
interventions, and eating disorders.
Betty S. McDivitt, ACSW, LCSW, CHT
Betty received her Master of Social Work degree from the Indiana
University School of Social Work and has additional education in
Pastoral Counseling at Christian Theological Seminary. She is a
Credentialed Clinical Hypnotherapist. She embraces hope and
empowerment as she works with individuals, couples, families and groups.
Her holistic approach to healing encompasses the body, mind and spirit
of each individual. She specializes in using hypnotherapy in
treating depression, anxiety, and spiritual issues.
Debra K. Shain, MSW, LCSW
Debra received her Master of Social Work degree from the Indiana
University School of Social Work and has worked in Fayette County since
1997. She has additional training in treatment of substance abuse
and addiction from the Hazelden Treatment Program in Minnesota.
She has more than fifteen years experience in providing counseling in
both inpatient and outpatient settings to adolescents, adults and
families with drug and alcohol related problems. She also has
specialized training in working with young children and adolescents with
severe emotional and behavioral problems. She has provided
clinical therapy to adults and couples as well as serving as mental
health specialist to provide drug and alcohol prevention education to
Fayette County High School students.
